Can’t read the article since I won’t give the Times ANY of my money, but I wholeheartedly concur… we are off on a five-day off-grid disconnect at East Lake in Oregon. Here’s a photo from our trip to Lakes Basin last month… just get away!

This is my daughter, the bravest patient I know! A spine injection yesterday and MRI with contrast today (that took THREE attempts tinge the contrast in)… she wore her favorite @guster.bsky.social T-shirt and was, indeed calm and brave! She’s Okay! #DownSyndrome #Alzheimers

I haven’t posted a Joy of Katy for some time… there has simply been less ‘joy’. An increase in seizure activity and other health issues have been distracting. But, she sent me this photo and I initially worried that she had a seizure and fell… nope! She explained: I just wanted to be a snow angel 😇🤣

I know I’m just an obscure account, but I share this reminder with great passion… As with any ‘categorized’ disability, ‘if you know a person with Down Syndrome, you know one person with Down Syndrome… on a personal note, I love the description: “Hilarious - slightly raunchy. Like a boss!”

I am heartbroken and truly embarrassed at the behavior of our country's so-called leaders today. We have become part of The Axis! He WANTS to be a dictator. He thinks it's a show of strength to INVADE another country. Our parents did not serve in WWII for this!

We are still inundated with snow, so this Joy of Katy post had to be another run down the slopes at the Mt Shasta Ski Park. This was the last day of the season - hence the bare slopes, but we should all have as much JOY in our lives as Katy! #DownSyndrome #Alzheimers
