I had a dog who had infrequent but scary asthma-type attacks. He learned VERY quickly how much attention they got him, so occasionally he'd fake one. It was painfully obvious when they weren't real and we'd just say, "Uh, no, buddy. We know you're faking." And he'd stop immediately. 🤣
