I was eating pizza, but I couldn't finish it. Trump's speech is making me physically ill. I'm with VP Harris, wearing all black, in mourning our country and freedom today. We’ve got 1460 days to plan and put someone in who doesn't sexually assault, defraud, or encite violence on the American people.

I'll be fighting for a bill I wrote called The HAVEN Act, which gives victims a discreet means to notify police and see a response before their abuser knows. It also ensures accountability regardless of co-habitation status, and allows ALL DV survivors to seek address confidentiality.

With Committee weeks starting tomorrow, I look to these photos, remembering my WHY, my FUEL, for fighting. When I was 19 and pregnant, I had the freedom to CHOOSE parenthood, despite the unknowns and uncertainties. I have 21 meetings now scheduled to discuss my bill and fight for those who can't.

Yesterday's local swearing-in was inspiring. We need effective representation in all levels of government willing to fight for what's right, for those needing a champion, those struggling to put food on their tables despite working, our LGBTQIA, and women who'd like to control their own uteruses.
