This is our new dog, Lucy, adopted in April. She has such a funny, slouchy sit!

I've been (obsessively?) following the caterpillars in my garden and it's incredible how fast they grow. You almost think it can't possibly be the same one you saw yesterday. I've had at least 5 butterflies so far. This guy emerged Sunday.

"Well you aren't the base Amy."

I'm not sure how much more basic I could be (pun intended).

This section jumped out at me. How very American to assume we're the only country providing foreign aid.

Also, if people are worried about their tax dollars being wasted, they should be demanding an audit of our military spending.

So many chonky bois in my garden right now. Can you see all seven? #caterpillars #monarchs

I have a bias toward small colleges where classes involve actual discussions and students and profs know each other, but that is a privilege not available to everyone, nor is it a fit for every student. It also makes in class (oral or written) assessment more doable.

All of a sudden the White House is worried about a lack of experience?

Was Bessent hoping if he said a lot of confusing numbers, they'd stop asking him questions? This is like a word problem in middle school math.

Shame on me for not mentioning Shelby, who we adopted from the San Diego Humane Society in 2001. Note that the loveseat she is lying on smelled of skunk because 2 out of the 3 times she was sprayed, she ran in the door and jumped right up.

Our beloved Callie (2011-2024) also came from the shleter-to-rescue pipeline. Best dog ever.

National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day! Both our dogs came from a local rescue, but the black dog (Lucy, who we adopted just 3 weeks ago) was in a shelter prior to going to the rescue. Leo (tan dog, adopted 2017) is from Tijuana.

It depends when he attended and if he received scholarships. Because of their endowment and other generous donations, Harvard can give a lot of financial aid. This is a recent announcement.

I saw this dog wearing chaps? waders? in Montreal and immediately thought of the centaur.
