When Cheeto and Co are done destroying our government, can we build it back better? Universal healthcare, universal basic income, taxing millionaires and billionaires. The GOP has shown through their budget that they really don’t care about the national debt so cost is not a factor.

For the past month, it’s felt like everything in my life has been out of sync. Relationships, work, finances, etc it’s like it’s all just . . . not connecting. Any suggestions on how to get things back on track?

I find it interesting (sad, frustrating, infuriating) that rather than believe the 80+ identified victims of Epstein and Maxwell, we are being asked to believe the word of a woman who manipulated and abused young women and girls and then lied about doing so. Why do victims’ words not matter?

For several days now my neighborhood has been obsessed with the adventures of two wayward pot bellied pigs. People are posting updates every few minutes, t-shirts honoring them have been designed, and someone created a crowd-sourced map of pig sightings. They have truly united our community.

In all the years I watched and sang along to “The Sound of Music,” and dreamed of climbing every mountain, I never imagined so many people around me dreamed of being Rolf.

Personally I think we should be encouraging more members of this administration to swim in E.coli-infected water.

Visiting Dachau concentration camp several years ago was such a profound, eye opening experience. I couldn’t believe that people could live so close to it and be ignorant of the horrors going on there. Now as I see what’s happening in my country I understand they weren’t ignorant. They approved it.

The GOP: We hate government regulation! End all government regulations!

Also the GOP: Except when we can use government regulations to force companies to comply with our ideology #Disney

I feel so much shame watching clips of the meeting with Zelenskyy today. Never in my lifetime did I think a United States president and vp would side with a communist dictator.

In my most recent emails to my Congressman and Senators, I suggested that if they were *really* serious about cutting government waste, they’d start with themselves. Since Trump took office, they have abdicated their responsibilities to him and the Musketeers. Seems like we don’t need them anymore.

If they are serious about cutting government waste, I’d start with all the members of Congress who are abdicating their responsibilities and allowing this to happen. Defund their staff and offices. We don’t need them.

31 years ago Monday, while in the hospital holding my newborn baby girl, my house burned down. My husband returned home to find it fully engulfed, and the stress sent him back to the hospital, this time in the back of an ambulance. For three days we didn’t know where we were going to go.

The power of community: for the past 3 years, the organization I work for has been working to increase teacher diversity, specifically, Black male and Latino teachers. Because representation matter. And because all students benefit when they have diverse teachers.

Dear dog toy manufacturers: please use my golden retriever as a tester for “tough” dog toys. Attached is evidence of her proficiency as a chewer.

Joe Biden has been a true public servant his whole career and we owe a lot to him for what he’s done as president. But I will always think of him first and foremost as a father who never gave up on his son and showed what it means to love unconditionally.
