My main character doesn’t take a lot for granted. She’s been turned into a vampire, lied to, sent to live in a magic academy with other supernaturals, and there’s always something unusual going on (trying to avoid spoilers here 😅)

I used to re-read books all the time as a kid but then that stopped as I got older. Now, I do re-read old favourites sometimes. There’s something comforting about familiar characters and plots.

There aren’t a lot of animals in my series, but the psychologist at the magical academy does have a miniature dragon who is kinda like a support dragon for the kids in sessions. It acts like a puppy. Eats dried apricots. Huffs smoke when it’s annoyed.

My characters live in dorm rooms in Neo-Gothic stone buildings at a magical academy, with chimera who prowl the roofs for security. There are arched windows, cobblestone paths, a forest, and the entire campus is concealed from humans by magic.
