Oh OK then if you're using Domino's it sounds like you are using the modern brown sugar! You can achieve the same effect by adding 1/4 cup molasses to each cup of white sugar, and yes it's definitely more moist!

Interesting that you would say this because I think the modern perception of brown sugar is indeed different from what the Cuthberts would have used! You're referring to a raw or unrefined cane sugar, correct? Not white sugar with molasses mixed in, which is what most people call brown sugar today.
