We also had exploratory analyses with depression as the outcome, and it was basically the same story: Brooding did not change the negative association between differentiation and depression. Take a look for limitations and future directions! 4/4

What were the take homes? Poor differentiation in adolescence may contribute to the consolidation of maladaptive regulatory habits. And this is likely not impacted by tendency to ruminate on negative emotions! Not what we hypothesized, but interesting implications! 3/4

What did we find? Emotion differentiation predicted decreases in global emotion dysregulation (but was unrelated to momentary cognitive reappraisal strategy selection). Brooding didn't moderate any associations between differentiation and regulation. 2/4
