Something I appreciated in my university studies was being pushed out of my creative comfort zone. For a long time I thought of myself as just a writer, but now I've dabbled in programming, video editing, sound design, digital collage, and pixel art. It's fulfilling to be creative in different ways.

A Bidoof is generally not a great strategic choice for a Pokemon team, but they're so cute! I had one I was raising to surf around (important transport in early Pokemon games), but it had a trait that made it unable to swim! By that time I was attached, so it stayed in the team as a sort of mascot.

I went down a whole rabbit hole because I was going to use the piping shrike on the South Australian flag as a reference, but that's different not-magpie again! I'll have to work through all the variants as I practice XD
