That's such a shame! Friend of mine had a similar experience. He made a list of all the music he lost and I found digital (ripped) versions for most of the list on sharing sites where people rip LPs and cassettes etc & share the downloads. If there's any you're really missing, can find them for you

I ripped all my CDs to digital files, and the LPs and cassettes I have found digital versions of for most online to download, many for free. If I would play all my albums back to back it's a few years of music at least. I have waaay too much music!

There aren't really any free alternatives afaik, which is probably why so many continue to use spotify. I used youtube as alternative for a while, but they're kissing up to fascists now so I don't know any more. I have so much music on an external harddrives I don't really need streaming platforms.
