What do the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, US VP-elect JD Vance and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán have in common? The insistence on the importance of families and the need for population growth - but only of a certain kind, the "right" kind. Pronatalism is a dangerous trend, one to watch out for.

More magazines = better dressed people. Win win.
A big reason why Tokyo is more fashionable has to do with the media environment. There are thousands of hobbyist magazines covering topics ranging from woodworking to whisky. In menswear, they can get very specific in terms of aesthetic: classic tailoring, workwear, streetwear, outdoorsy style, etc.

Is Pakistan the first country to block Bluesky? Hearing reports from several journalist friends that it’s only accessible via VPN. This is happening in a country which is being accused of clamping down on free speech - it has already restricted access to X, and internet speeds remain abysmally slow.
⚠️ Confirmed: Metrics show social media platform Bluesky, a popular X alternative, has been restricted in Pakistan, corroborating user reports of issues accessing the service; Pakistan has imposed a growing number of social media platform bans and is also targeting VPN services
