They may not “want this”, but they are still choosing to enable it. They don’t get a pass on their participation.

Correcting her statement was not hostile and insulting. Asking someone to please verify facts is not hostile and insulting. Calling someone a pompous ass because you read tone (that wasn’t there) into text is a textbook example of both.

How else do we remember what the truth and facts actually are? If you want to conflate that with endorsing bullies, then that is your prerogative. But it’s a shame.

But the only way we are going to have a chance of fighting the horrifying attempts to distort the truth we are seeing from the current administration, is if we refuse to accept - or participate- in it.

Jesus…i get that people are angry now. I’m angry. I’m scared, and i worry every fucking day about what kind of world my kid is going into.

If we resort to wild speculation without verification or evidence, how is that any different than claiming DEI caused a plane to crash? We have to be better than that.

So, i DO still think that trying to use this incident to stoke outrage over the concerns with the situation at the FAA is unnecessary and inappropriate.
February 1, 2025 at 6:51 PM
What i know is that the military is still determining the cause of the malfunction that resulted in the jet crash. I know that there was no loss of life.
February 1, 2025 at 6:51 PM
While i understand the underlying sentiment, the crash in AK was due to a malfunction - not the FAA - and there was no loss of life as a result, which is what the comment implies. We’re no better than the other side if we start twisting facts to suit our purposes.

The pilot of the crash in Alaska survived after ejecting. There was no loss of life. Please take the time to get your facts straight before posting - there’s enough misinformation circulating as it is.
