Historically, most oropharyngeal cancers (OPC) were due to smoking and alcohol.
Today, 70% of OPCs are said to arise from HPV. HPV 9-valent vaccines offered in high school protect against HPV strains that can prevent OPC.
Vaccines work and CAN decrease cancer risks. Get vaccinated!
