Suggestions welcome. At first sight I thought this was a discarded orange skin but the underside is definitely fungus. It is next to a path in Denso Marston Nature Reserve, Baildon. After doing a bit of searching, the sites that mention when it can be seen suggest Aug to Nov. #fungifriends #fungus

#fungifriends Turkey Tail? Trametes_versicolor? Coriolopsis gallica? Why didn't I try to look at its underside? I'm trying, very trying. Next time I go out I should go with 3 other people, a fungi expert, a bird expert, a tree expert

#fungifriends I'm guessing this is a fungus but am happy to be told it is just the Birch tree.

#fungifriends I'm hoping to halfway identify some fungi from recent walks before posting and writing to my blog. I'm thinking I should have cut one of these to see if it "leaked". This set were in woodland. Lots of Oak leaf litter around.
