Yesterday I had a good time protesting ICE in New Orleans. I love chanting SHUT IT DOWN! The people could bring commerce and government to its knees in a few days of shutting down airports, businesses, schools—any place at all really. It’s not illegal for lots of people to drive places.

More of this kind of disruption. Let’s disrupt airports, highways, military barracks, the White House. Any place that will send this corrupt regime the message that we won’t allow them to destroy our democracy. It’s not illegal for a bunch of people to drive their cars to places.

I respect Mark Kelly, but I remain amazed that seemingly intelligent people are motivated to waste good spit and air, not to mention precious mouth muscles, on talking about Trump as if he is capable of listening, reflecting, changing, growing, or caring.

Here in New Orleans we have been doing the work of holding our “all charter” district accountable—an uphill battle but #wekeepshowingup. Has there been a call for proposals for the conference yet? Public school advocates want to share what we’ve learned from 20 years of charter schools in NOLA.
