Solo circular of Pen Yr Helgi Du this morning. Reminded me that if I always waited for the perfect forecast I'd miss out on so much. Prepared for wet, cold, and zero views but the mountains decided otherwise - and they make their own weather after all #amountainamonth2025

Just spent a week on our favourite island. Arran never disappoints.

Dr. Jane made an indelible mark on our understanding of chimpanzees and other species, and also of humankind and the environments we all share.

She inspired curiosity, hope, and compassion in countless people, and paved the way for many others.

Forgive the blurriness, Saturn is a mere 1.2782 billion km away and I filmed it with my phone camera mounted on a telescope. That's pretty awesome.

Missed the blood moon due to cloud but caught the Earth's shadow. First freehand with my phone, then by mounting it onto our telescope. I've not figured out settings on my Canon yet! I am always blown away at the fact you can see such detail e.g. impact crators.

Hadn't planned to pitch in the dark but was rewarded with surprise views and visitors this morning 💚 #leavenotrace

Wild nights out are looking a little different nowadays.

Supported some national three peakers on their final mountain yesterday (Yr Wyddfa). They completed with 46 minutes to spare but I'm much more proud of the fact they were picking up litter as they went, and raised lots of money for charity 💚

Recently got back from a lovely holiday with the family in Spain. It killed me not to climb any mountains whilst there, but didn't stop me admiring them from afar. Callosa ❤️

Headed up Bera Mawr this morning, before the worst heat of the day. Stopped off twice for a cold dip on the way back down! #amountainamonth2025

Are there more #horseflies around this year? I've gone from zero bites in 37 years to 6 in the past 2 months. All whilst running! Painful & one drew lots of blood but luckily I don't seem to have too bad a reaction. Shall I just stop running 😅 Maybe it's my bright running clothes?!

We used to camp at shell island every year with friends, but the last time was 2019 pre the global interruption. This weekend some of us actually managed to get together and do it again 💚 #getoutside #camping

2 good things today: 1) DOMS from a fitness comp on Saturday finally subsided enough to tolerate a run this evening. 2) I realised I'd booked yesterday off work but mistakenly worked it anyway 😂 so yay - I've got a day extra annual leave I didn't think I had #getoutside

Spent the afternoon in the Northern Berwyns. Moel Fferna is a new one for me. Very wet and muddy on the way up. Teeming with birds & bugs. The forest section was pretty but I came out soaking & covered in pine needles! #amountainamonth2025

Bickerton Hill. Far worse places to go for a run. I was, however, ambushed twice by the Highland cattle #getoutside

Honestly the video of him being airlifted is one of the funniest things I've ever watched. Couldn't stop laughing. Ed is clearly a liability and I love it.

Spent the last few days exploring some cool, fairly local, places we've never been #getoutside #englishheritage

Making the most of time-off midweek & a good forecast. Introduced my husband to Crib Goch & finally completed the full Yr Wyddfa horseshoe yesterday. An ace day with lots of scrambling! Very grateful he enjoys this sort of thing 😅 #amountainamonth2025 #getoutside

Little solo wander in the Arenigs yesterday. An out & back to Carnedd Y Filiast turned into a circular on pathless ground to take in a few more tops & views. It was uncharacteristically dry 😬 #amountainamonth2025

I've started running a new route near where I live and I've seen the same farmer now several times. I convinced myself he was probably eye-rolling at me, especially when I'm on the road, but he waved tonight & said "You're doing well, lass. Keep it up". Ngl, it made me emotional 🥹😂

Another 19km bimbled today, mostly along the #SandstoneTrail today from where we left off last time. Still local enough not to get caught up in bank holiday weekend ridiculousness! #getoutside
