Yeah, I just see people going on vibes for both sides, or only see "economy is good, actually" numbers, and want to throw out there is data on the other side, not just "it feels bad."

Some people are definitely feeling it despite other indicators being up.

Food insecurity was up to almost 2008 levels in 2023. They don't have 2024 stats yet so things might be better this year. Poverty rates went up a couple points at the same time, and while it went down in 23, the SPM went way up, so it depends on what is counted.
