Nice! Tricky in isolation, but yes it works

I think 'intertwining' or 'weaving' are your best bets. It's a novel device, so I'd keep the indicators quite clear.

They are *possessive* adjectives, and thus distinct, so at least *could* be treated differently. In practice, it's academic for me because I don't think "Your head" gives you Y. But my understanding is Larry & co would say it can because it can resolve to "head of your", which "Head your" can't.

It's not irrelevant (and let's not introduce adverbs here!). It's perfectly coherent to say "in English, this class of adjectives can operate pre/post-nominally, but this class cannot". Most adjectives are in class 1; possessive adjectives are not.

Can *possessive* adjectives ever work post-nominally? Standard adjectives can (although it's often a bit G&S after the noun) & we have to give setters *some* tools to work with. But I think the possessive nature matters, even without getting into the 'X head/head X' issue more generally.

As I've become a better solver the balance has shifted. These days a fair clue that beats me is more likely to generate a third reaction: Oh FFS I should've got that!

(Slightly confusingly, the puzzle's attributed to Mango, which was my original suggested name. Either way, it's me!)

And yet it wasn't him!
