There's also the potential angle of Trump being an unwitting Russian asset being manipulated by Putin- Russia would love nothing more than the US and NATO falling apart, and attention/military materiel going to Greenland means it's not going to Ukraine or the Baltics.

Other forces exist, but will they be strong enough to stop Kegseth and the rest of the cronies from actually attacking Greenland? So far they didn't manage to stop attacks on Venezuela or Iran...?
