This WIP has been sitting for over a year, maybe two. Kinda lost my motivation when I stopped agreeing with the quote. 🤷‍♀️ Going to put the floss on some drops and see how much of it i feel like banging out today. Also washing my latest finish, so that will be framed later if it dries enough.

Still needs to be washed and pressed, but that's a task for another day.
A finished cross stitch worked in a wine colored embroidery floss on an antique white aida. A large heart with stylized roses and hearts to the right coming off the side of the heart. The fabric still bears the impression of the embroidery hoop around the outside of the finished stitching.

Took some breaks but I'm happy with tonight's progress.

Why work on current WIPs when I can start a whole new project?
A piece of off-white aida fabric stuck with lots of straight pins around the edges, to make a 140x140 count grid broken up in blocks of 10. The straight pins have heart shaped heads in various pastel shades. There is a thin line of gold sulky thread across the bottom row of pins, the start of a cross stitching grid.

Almost feels surreal to have this obligation off my shoulders. Makes me slightly annoyed with myself for not finishing it sooner.

Sunday morning starting point. Worked on it some yesterday; I really need to buckle down and finish. Pattern is from Cutepatternsbymaria.

Found a neat frame today at the store, fits this finish perfectly
