Looks like the beginning of a great adventure.

I think this is a completely reasonable, rational, and logical word choice.

It's hard to pick just one - colorwork and hats are kind of a tie. I love the precision and planning of colorwork (especially @pacificknitco.bsky.social Doodles) & watching a design develop. But hats are nearly instant gratification - and a small canvas for testing new yarns or techniques.

And she quipped, "So they're were sort of like the Stanley craze of the day?" And I laughed so hard I stared coughing and then said "You're not wrong" before I busted up again. Because yeah, sort of and also OMG nope. IYKYK 😂

And while all is sorted now, I'm dizzy and starving. And looking at the list of things that I couldn't do the last 2 days, makes me feel like an utter failure who will never catch up.

I know none of that is true - but it's a hard mountain to climb before I can get to the actual work of the day.

That's sounds like an amazing summer.

I'm solidly middle-aged - and I've never been worried about or accused of acting my age 😂 I'm going to do the things that bring me joy - regardless of what other people say or think.

Same! I've had a couple of "that's not age appropriate" responses from folks to which I answer, "at what point am I "too old" to have fun and use my imagination?" Rude. 😂 They don't get an invite when I do actually host a campaign. Their loss.

It really is. I'm getting to know the game again and also building some DM/GM muscles by taking solo adventures through some pre-written campaigns. I figure I ought to know myself & playstyle a little before I go looking for a table.

As I'm exploring, I'm finding that I still love world building and storytelling. And also finding that there's a massive community of folks who don't just want to kill shit. (Not that I'm against battle, or death, or destruction - I just like it to have a purpose in the narrative.) #WorldBuilding
