The failure of the Democratic Party doesn't get any more glaring than this. A community with a lot of immigrants are so fed up they'd rather vote for the party with anti-immigrant rhetoric.

I was an IC designer in the 2000's when TSMC was building out its capabilities and edging towards cutting edge technology. It took years of dedication and hard work to get to their current position. US foundries are going to need similar dedication, time, and talent to get to a similar place.
