the point is, swansea would hate everything about this and woul murder jimmy with his bare hands if he found out bc i love protective (cofcof jealous cofcof) swansea. also the "grumpy x sunshine" dynamic fits these two too but they're my doomed tragic yaoi not the toxic one. (14/15)

and never forget jimmy being grumpy BUT oddly nice and kind and overly-praising to daisuke and nobody understands why (he wants him so bad it's insane he likes the way daisuke looks at him he likes to have power over him he likes to know someone doesn't hate him) + (12/15)

+ again, daisuke feels useful and jimmy has someone to take his anger out (11/15)

+ it's sort of the whole "i hate him but i miss him when he's gone" dynamic. then when he actually gets on jimmy's nerves jimmy fucks him to shut him up and give him what he wants. daisuke loves it tho he was actually looking for that. + (10/15)

what about pre-crash?? daisuke crushing hard on jimmy just bc he's hard to get & people say he's grumpy. jimmy likes bothering the shit out of him. he loves getting him angry bc it's fun. the thrill of knowing (not really) that jimmy wouldn't actually do anything to him. + (9/15)

+ and so this fucks up jimmy soooo bad and he's sooo jealous of daisuke being a ray of goddamn sunshine. and here you have 2 possibilities: either daisuke hates him just as much OR he likes to believe in the goodness of people and deals with it. (8/15)

+ jimmy treats him as if daisuke was pretending to be naive and sweet to hide he's useless and a piece of shit. but actually daisuke is way more capable than he thinks and not naive at all, but also not like him either. he's just a good person, something jimmy wouldn't get. + (7/15)

this dynamic is one that doesn't exclude the last one, necessarily, but jimmy viewing daisuke as if he were a younger version of himself and trying to corrupt him so he "doesn't play the nice guy". + (6/15)

+ it's a dynamic along the lines of "you are no one without me" and it goes both ways because jimmy does get even angrier and sadder and more depressed when daisuke isn't around. (5/15)

+ jimmy basically guiltrips daisuke every time he even questions jimmy being a bad person/taking responsibility, and praise turns into hatred and harsh criticism and horrible comments. and daisuke believes that there has to be a way for them to be okay. so he just deals with it.+ (4/15)

+ jimmy keeps repeating the whole "our worst moments don't make us monsters" thing and actually praising daisuke, so daisuke feels like shit but "jimmy needs someone to rely on... right? he needs me... right? i'm doing the right thing... right?". + (3/15)

them developing a codependent relationship. daisuke wants to feel useful/needed & jimmy needs someone to vent/play the victim to. daisuke is conflicted abt this but he can't just leave him. (2/15)
