🚀 Hero Section Update!

Got this Hero section revamped in just a few minutes.

Previously, it was plain text with a background gradient.
Now? It’s got that polished vibe!

How does it look? 👇

💡 Context is everything.

When using AI in development to speed up your workflow, having context and giving context is the game-changer.

Here’s a page I built for my anime recommendation app.
It took me just a few minutes to:
• Add the cards
• Add simple animations
• Make them look decent enough

Building or planning to build a dev product? Read this!

I’ve been working on an app called Vitark for the past few weeks. 🚀

And finally, it’s launching! 🎉

What features would make an anime recommendation app awesome?

I’m building one right now and brainstorming some cool ideas.

Here are 2 features I’m thinking of adding:
• Anime based on your current mood 🎭
• Beginner-friendly recommendations 🌟

What else should I include? 🤔

Should I buy a new domain for my launch? 🤔

I’m about to complete the component library I’ve been building, and the MVP is set to launch this week 🚀

Tech stack: nextjs with shadcn

With a little help from v0

For now, I’m launching without a new domain.

How to land your first freelance gig in just 24-48 hours 🚀

This guide is tailored for Upwork but works for other platforms too.

Follow these steps and remember—skills matter!

How to get your first freelance client under 24 hours on Upwork
or on any other platform?

It boils down to two things:
1️⃣ Show that you care
2️⃣ Provide value

This is how I got my first client

Should I share a step-by-step process to help you land your first client? 👀

Let me know!

💯 Tip for you: Use CSS Grid/Flexbox over tables.

Was working on a GitHub-style contribution graph. Started with tables but soon realized it was a nightmare for styling.

If you’re thinking of using tables, consider if Grid or Flexbox can achieve the same or even better results.
It’s worth it!

UPDATE!

✔️ Listing anime

@windsurf_ai
is crushing it in both UI and functionality

💡 Pro tip: If you’re building a product or MVP, maximize your productivity with a tight development flow.

🧵 A detailed thread on my process is dropping today.

Working on a component library, and the MVP is almost ready!

This @github.com - style contribution graph is the final piece to complete the puzzle.

My goal?
Make it super easy for devs to implement this in their projects. Just copy, paste, & you’re good to go.

Stay tuned!

I said I’d build an MVP & here it is!

I’m building an Anime recommendation app with:

- ChatGPT for project planning
- @v0 to begin with
- @windsurf_ai to polish the design and add functionality
- Next.js, @shadcn, and @appwrite

More updates and complete process tomorrow.

I built an MVP in just 2 days for a client:

• Used v0 for the initial setup
• windsurf to bring it all together

Blown away by how good Windsurf is! Its agent-like ‘Cascade’ feature really shines, especially for UI.

Planning to build another one MVP soon. Stay tuned!

Making solid progress on the app

- Setup and installation pages ✅
- Dark mode is looking good 🌑

Building the 3rd and final component before the MVP release.

v0 is absolutely killing it in UI development.

Tried it today—found a great design on Dribbble, asked v0 to build it, and it came out pretty close.

Excited to test it with more UI builds!

The last few days have been crazy—super busy!

Time to get back to the component library I’m building and push it to completion ASAP.

Too many ideas waiting in the pipeline. LFG!

Landed my first freelance gig on Upwork within 24 hours!

It’s a short project, and I’m still working on it—should be wrapped up by Sunday evening.

Honestly, I’d say I got lucky. Will share more updates once it’s complete!

Using windsurf for a day, and here’s what I’ve learned:

• It holds its own against Cursor
• Excels in some areas, needs polish in others

The best feature? Cascade—an AI agent-like functionality.

Pro tip: Prompt it well, and it’ll create some pretty impressive UI.

10 more 🌟

Never thought I’d get this many stars when I started this project.

Started using Windsurf by Codeium
—jumped straight into the Pro plan, and I’m loving how it works so far.

Context: Tried getting Pro for Cursor but couldn’t (thanks to India’s regulations).

Will share updates soon!

Fixed it!

Turns out the bug was either due to Next.js caching or Tailwind's compiler skipping the new changes.
Ran into an unexpected bug in my app today.
Currently trying to fix it.

Not every day is fun and games, or a win.

Came here initially followed a lot of people through starter packs.

Unfollowed most of them today. Don’t want this to turn into X.

Engaging with big accounts feels like a waste of time. The ones who are still growing, building, and learning deserve more engagement, help, and genuine conversations.
