Ocean Diaries: Hawaiian Monk Seals. My friend Jeff took these pictures today. It's super rare to see two of the Hawaiian Monk seals together, they are solitary except for mating, so this was probably a male and female pair. They can breed here all year long.

Ocean Diaries: The Titan Scorpionfish on Maui. Strange creatures underwater. They can be up to 20 inches long and with their camouflage suddenly consume fish with their large mouth opening.
