Oh and very weird and cool and freaky that our cat has two white and two black legs?
Will my creative hunger ruin my life?
A hunger to create isn’t a benign thing.

What do you do if you’re in a social situation & you feel vulnerable? I get chattier like my character Lila. Read if you like edgier sides of Regency London, ‘scintillating’ dialogue (Cosmo & Good Housekeeping said it) & Bridgerton-level heat. 99p for a limited time

99p KINDLE KLAXON ALERT!
The first book in my Unladylike series that Boston Globe calls deeply romantic & Cosmo calls scintillating is cheaper than - well, everything! Lila always hides her vulnerability & Ivor is the most enraging man in London. See how it began. www.amazon.co.uk/Unladylike-L...

Thank you @amitamurray.bsky.social for my most anticipated read of the year #AnUnladylikeSecret

I love the Marleigh sisters and can’t wait to meet Mira

A marathon re-read of #UnladylikeLessonsinLove and #UnladylikeRulesofAttraction is planned too.

I’ve been toying with developing a non-fiction voice. I find it exposing and tend to hide behind fiction. Here’s my new post. creativehunger.substack.com/p/creative-h...
I’ll post about female longing & creativity & hormones & the gap between what we crave & how we act so we can be in the world
Creative Hunger - what the heck is that?
making friends with the bits that hurt, oh, and also, disordered eating

Weird things people say to writers:
-so is your book a bestseller
-how are the sales going
-it’s great you have time to write. I wish I had time for things like that
-do you also have a real job
-can you look at my first paragraph so I know if I should bother writing the rest

Great to meet so many new followers who’re doing creative stuff! Would love to know what you’re working on right now, little or big. I’ve just finished final proofs for my third Regency novel An Unladylike Secret set in Devon & working on a couple of ‘secret’ projects too 🫢☺️ (American & uk covers)

I have a weird take on imposter syndrome. Would love to know from writers & artists how it hits you & what you do about it. It’s one of those things that can hit you before your first book, at the dreaded second book & any time after but there are ways to deal with it m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ux1f...

Feeling writers block? (In the current political climate, not surprising.) Take the pressure off trying to write something ‘good.’ Sit down for ten mins and write something terrible, crap, mundane, horrific, so bad that you don’t want to look at it again. Repeat tomorrow. (hi! My first post here! ❤️)
