Music making for guitarists doesn't have to be about forming a rock band, or doing the singer/songwriter thing. It can mean joining a community guitar orchestra. Ours meets monthly. Music is social life, and the community guitar orchestra always has room for one more.

We need to get away from personality politics and press the value and history of what Democrats deliver. Many of the candidates touted for 2028 would be terrific. But we need to win big down ticket so we can make meaningful tax reform to fund an ambitious agenda where all boats rise.

Unexpected delight from my classical music station driving home last night. One of my favorites, and the absolute best recorded version I've heard. Everything is pristine and present. The audio fidelity is perfect as if I were sitting among them - unusual for an orchestral recording.

Really sick and tired of the “Harris-Rogan interview” argument. Rogan is a comedian/mansplainer/spineless political opportunist. It’s an insult to Harris to suggest she needed his podcast to “introduce herself” to a broad audience, as if he was her ticket to credibility.

We need someone to perform an intervention with some of the Republican “moderates” and Trump loathers: Bail from the party and declare themselves Independent. It takes one brave and principled leader, and then one bold follower to generate a tremor in the party. Trump’s endorsement in 2026? “Meh.”
