This might be the best modern horror novel I’ve read in years. As someone who so rarely gets scared by horror, one scene had me feeling incredibly unsettled. And I’m only 120 pages in.

I think it’s a testament to how good Word Play by @gamemakerstoolkit.com is, that I forgot I was boiling two eggs and they exploded, covering my kitchen in egg shrapnel!

It has been 18 years since my daughter Amelia died at the age of 3. While time has healed me somewhat, the pain never fades.
It has burrowed down into my marrow, and I long for the things missing since she passed. The loss of what could have been is a hurt that lingers every day.
I miss her utterly.
