Spending way too much at the @discotekmedia.bsky.social booth at Otakon is an annual tradition for me. As is trying to find creative ways to justify it to my wife. Glad AB was great, sad I had to miss.

My mother was basically like, "you get four years and then you're on your own". And that was with some hefty student loans as the "college fund" was nowhere near enough to cover. I consider myself lucky I was able to cover undergrad, and this was at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Yeah, I would encourage her to run as fast as possible away from the business, and especially QA. I fear it’s only going to get more dire as time passes.
