A classic Vancouver Island location, probably the most photographed tree in BC. On this particular winter morning, I was able to enjoy the conditions a couple of friends and no one else in sight.
The thick fog really helped highlight the background trees.

A few moments with a beautiful American Kestrel, North America's smallest falcon (somewhere between 80 to 160 grams). It's interesting to watch their hunting style as they like to hover and look below for their prey.
