Wait your project will actually also help coolify ! That's a genius combination of working on both projects at same time. That's a good idea but I wonder how it will concretly get implemented hum... Good luck!

Thank you !
That's a good news !
(And a bad one ? All the coolify bros exposed to the security nightmare that's openclaw RIP, me included lol)

I'm using hetzer vps and s3 bucket for hosting my cloud native application and so far so good, but no users yet cause in development phase. I would recommend not only from my limited experience, but the coolify community (a big one) is very satisfied with hetzner.

Oh no !
That's already fast enough to feel too slow reviewing !
Smarter > faster. all the time

Most food is bad ? Not living in the same world my friend.
But regarding your point it all depends on what you define as "great".
I Would define the best it fulfill its purpose, the greater it is.
And if something doesn't fulfill it's purpose it's just straight bad, so do need to be great to work.

Yeah I agree.
But let's say your app requires additional information, then the flow would be redirect with oauth to the Idp form, then redirect the user again to another form to get the additional information. Then finally redirect to your app. So what's the balance between security and convenience.

So you want magic link auth ?
Passwords isn't the problem, what the problem is I believe is how not everyone is using a password manager.

But there is a big difference with free software that needs money to run, like in the cloud, where the author loose money for providing value to people.
The world in unequal, not every people has same amount of money, so the only theoretical way of having the best balance is for those who can to pay
February 1, 2026 at 8:23 AM
With Paid softwares often it is heavily Money Oriented, it's goal is clear, and a lot of the time the unethical and immoral way is the quickest way to make money. But not all paid softwares are like this.
With free software it is often heavily Altruistic where what is wanted is for most to benefit.
February 1, 2026 at 8:23 AM
The difference with free software and paid ones is what is the source of that money.
For free software : Is it adds ? Is it donations from generous users ? Is it sponsor ?
For paid software : is it subscription based, one time ?
Sometimes paid is the best option, sometimes free is.

That's also how I view it, context is everything. Its about picking the right architecture for the right goal. It's perfect for allowing different communities to follow their own rules, but other than that, a trusted central source is often superior. Its not about tech dogma
bsky.app/profile/amir...
I was thinking that the reason why "decentralization" is blowing up is that "trust" has never been so broken as it currently is.
I don't believe that decentralization is the one size fits all, rather, fixing the current broken state of the software industry thats filled with unethical practices is.
January 31, 2026 at 2:43 PM
Yeah your approach is trying to be independent of the margin extension and even people without the extension can see the annotations, but the comments approach I don't think is the right approach, but more the exact implementation of the margin extension but from platforms themselves would be cool.

Reminds me of the discussion Jordan Peterson had where he was asked about the right of trans persons not to be offended, and he answered : well you are certainly willing to risk offending me in the pursuit of truth. (Not at all a fan of Jordan Peterson, but there is some good in what he says).

The RPG metaphor is ironically perfect. Protesting is like playing a game designed by the enemy. We need effective action, It's so meaningless. It's unfortunate that it's the only thing that comes to mind for taking action for lot's, or rather it's the extent to wich people are willing to take action
January 26, 2026 at 9:54 PM
For example for my self hosted app I'm building the hosted instance will be the safest, most resilient, most trustworthy, less risk and so on so overall best option to pick. So the other instances can compete for other use cases of the software or if hosted instance introduces unethical practices.

I don't agree!
It's the "third parties" that should adapt as with any other software to find its place and if to suceed this "third partie" needs bluesky to be bad then it's just not needed. There has to be a value proposition, a lack and a demand, product-market fit and there are lots opportunities

I always saw this "Second Brain" term as for Marketing purposes only really.
From the moment I heard this term trying to sell me notion template and obsidian templates and so on.
I would call it note taking software, or PKM software.
For what I would consider Ethical marketing, and god knows best.

Kept hitting a bug only when deployed lol, that's what's explaining all those recent push to atcr, my ci/cd workflow also doesn't help pushing image for api and ui each time even when only ui needs to be pushed.
Was about forwarding headers to the reverse proxy for valid redirect uri with keycloak.

The right prioritization!

btw I saw your post about integration with other AT Proto apps, what does it mean? How is integration defined? I'm not understanding it.
