Nope. dont work for Tesla, not paid by them. I like I said have been following self driving tech for years. and it is just my opinion based on what I am seeing.
This in no way means I agree with Elons politics, just my opinion of FSD.

The graph is and always has been laughable. Some of the names near the top no longer exist, which shows how much notice you should take.
As for the Chinese I agree, they probably are Tesla's biggest challengers. Again I will say, from what I am seeing. FSD is well placed to dominate in this space.

Well it just uses camera's, it is not pre mapped, it can do highways. It is far cheaper and is in many ways proving itself to be more capable.

Seems smart to me. Tesla are taking their firsts steps into autonomy and are putting the pieces in place to make sure it goes smoothly. There will be some overlap with what Waymo is doing, but there is plenty of stuff FSD is doing that Waymo is not.

And this shows perfectly your bias. You don't care or understand the technology, you just want to hate on it. The supposed test you are talking about was not FSD, it was autopilot. And since then it has been shown FSD with the latest hardware and software does see a painted tunnel.

It would be incredibly naive to compare the FSD of today to the FSD from 2016. They are very different beasts. One things for sure, FSD will make our roads far safer.

FSD does work. It is not quite ready, but to say it doesn't work at all is nonsense.

FSD at the moment is level 2 supervised. So the driver at this time is responsible. A level 4 release is set to happen in June. That is when to judge its capabilities.

I'm not sure why you think Waymo has any sort of lead? Both systems have their plusses and minuses. Looking at the bigger picture FSD has some huge advantages.

No remarkable in the progress being made. Elon has said he expects it to be operating fully autonomously in June. From what I am seeing I would be more surprised if it isn't.

FSD is far more capable than people realise. Anyone thinking they are behind have no idea of how advanced FSD is getting.

He has, but it has only been the last 12 months or so that FSD has moved to a neural net approach. The improvements since than has been nothing short of remarkable.
