2) when comparing between countries, you want similar baselines (1M apps vs ~1M makes sense, but 1M vs 10k is 🤨)

like why are the two raw figures different. this is just comparing completely different things 💀

when comparing [visa] approval rates with rejection rates:
1) each country's total number should be the same (Spain shows 17k in one list vs 1.4M in another???) and rates should be inverse (90% approve = 10% reject)
