I whispered “YEeas”

Cause I really need that sleep
So I let it go, went back to snuggle,
And thought, maybe she’s right—things just happen.

She cried, “NOooOo!”

“Mom,
I don’t want
to snuggle.”

So I got up and went to the kitchen door,
Grabbed a cucumber and a small bowl.
“Here, baby, you can eat; I got it for you.”

She cried, “NOooOo!”

She said, “I’ll eat it whenever I want; you can go.”
“Why did you wake me up if you wouldn’t eat now?!”
“I really don’t know Mom, but you can let it go.”
