After a protracted hunt through the Nocks, many Felsarians surrender, delivering Messani to Imriel for execution.

Felsari is absorbed into Valdeun, and Teikos becomes a vassal state.

Peace breaks out!

The remaining Felsarians sail south and settle on Khesmy. (5/5)

So Queen Imriel proposes a secret alliance with Teikos, who're watching the war, worried they'll be next if Felsari wins.

An army of Valdish and Teikans attack the Basin cities at the heart of Felsari, crippling Erraldale and conquering Rute.

Felsari and quickly turns greedy eyes towards the fields and arable land of Valdeun.

War breaks out!

Felsari, under King Messani, has the upper hand, thanks to the resources they have. Comlas' granddaughter Queen Imriel defends Valdeun as best she can, but it's looking bleak. (3/?)

A wide round valley called the Felsari Basin is home to three cities - Isodern, Rute, and Erraldale, which share rule of the kingdom of Felsari.

Lastly to the south Teikos, a peninsula kingdom, smaller and less populous than the other two.

Which came first, to "riffle" through a drawer or to "rifle" through a drawer? I use both fairly freely and always wondered which is the true expression and which is the malapropism.

For sure, it's a very personal fantasy. And the relationships are so far removed from quintessential male fantasy relationships. Fitz & Fool feel more like Frodo & Sam than any other male characters.

That's very fair. I suppose even if someone decides to "copy" something, they're still putting in enough effort that it becomes its own beast.

I strove to write an original story with my book, then as I'd finished realised that it was pretty similar to a 1940's novel!
