Statement just issued from our bipartisan coalition of State-based Marketplaces, urging the Senate to reject proposals in the reconciliation bill that will result in coverage losses and increased costs for the tens of millions of Americans that depend on ACA Marketplaces for their health care.

Should it matter what the political ideology of the people who depend on ACA Marketplace coverage is? Of course not. That’s an absurd way to think. But, nevertheless, leaving this here.

Saturday is the 19th birthday of Massachusetts’s landmark health reform law. It newly covered hundreds of thousands of MA residents and inspired the ACA which has resulted in tens of millions of Americans gaining coverage. Made cupcakes for the team to celebrate. Proud that this state led the way.
