For the record, I'm a second-generation Chinese-Canadian, and I agree with the legalization of MAiD as an end-of-life option for Canadians.

There are many topics within physician-assisted death that we do not even know how to address at this point. One that comes to mind is cultural literacy in two cultures, which is closely tied to acculturation between first-generation immigrant care recipients and second-generation caregivers.

I'm in Canada and we are one of the few countries that offer MAID. I don't think MAID should replace compassionate and good PEOLC care, but I appreciate that it is an option that Canadians can consider as part of their end-of-life choice. #MAID #PalliativeCare #Choice
