Whatever type of skill based matchmaking works decently well in fortnite. When I do go play I'm never getting slammed at all and I suck at fortnite. It feels balanced to me. And when I do get someone I can tell is better that's all it is. Hey I'm casual, don't play often. They're better and move on

Back in cold war when I had only begun my adventure into comp cod/ranked and even then when I got into his super casual lobby i dominated. I didn't belong. But i was there to enjoy time with my dad and I'm going to play. But he's never going to get me in a lobby if he's solo queuing.
