Yep, actually idr whether the Wii first showed Wii Sports or Twilight Princess. Twilight Princess was shown in E3 2004 but I think that’s when people thought it would be a GameCube only title but idk

Gotcha, it did have the layout of U though so I’d say it counts (in U the heads on the top left face forward and in Wii they face left) and Mario Kart 9’s title wasn’t officially revealed either

Lego City didn’t come out until 4 months after the Wii U released and even then the trailer shows the first game being NSMBU

I think the main reason it flopped was because it came out the same weekend as Sonic 3 which was a lot better but even if it didn't, I know a lot of people were not very interested in seeing it anyways, so 🤷♀️
