In and around Pt. Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, California one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.
A weathered wooden rowboat lies upside down on a rickety pier, its peeling paint matching the rough, timeworn boards beneath it. The dock extends over calm, dark water that reflects the supports and broken railings. In the distance, fog softens the low hills along the shoreline, giving the whole black-and-white scene a quiet, abandoned feeling. A narrow country road runs straight beneath an arching tunnel of tall, twisted trees. Their trunks lean inward like braided columns, and their branches interlock overhead to form a dense, natural canopy. Sunlight filters through patches of green leaves, creating a sense of depth and mystery as the road disappears into bright open space in the distance. An old wooden boat lies upside down in the grass, its hull split and ribs exposed like the skeleton of something long dead. The wood is weathered, warped, and peeling, with bits of debris and faded flotation buoys scattered around it.
