Efficiency = Output (benefits government provides) / Cost (taxes we pay). Efficiency can only be increased by reducing the cost AND increasing the output. Only focusing on reducing the cost (like DOGE is doing) will also reduce the output and will result in no change or decrease in efficiency.

Calling these “tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China” is not accurate. As of this morning, U.S. customers has been sending invoices to American companies for 25% of the value of their imports from Canada, Mexico and China. The American companies then pay the invoice to the U.S. Treasury.
