Havent studied this professionally but used public transport all my life, and can state that for me showing up and seeing 10 minutes or more to wait feels frustrating. 6-9 minutes is ok-ish, 5 or less feels good. The gold standard should be a 5 minutes rythm, if at all possible.

Though, indeed, the post reunification differences seem sharper at the borders than the pre-WW2 differences. So there do seem to be some causal effects of the separation.

Since becoming a dad a few years ago, the disconnect between the astounding beauty of seeing my child grow up, and the darkness that seems to engulf the larger (political) world around us, has been jarring for me. Still not sure how to deal with that. Tune out of the social media doom machine?
