i was so horrified that the big order i spent $100+ dollars on would turn out to be ugly because i made the whole comic in every single bad RGB colour imaginable for printing but it actually looks WONDERFUL in person! clubcard pull thru

also. that persons art is amazingly rendered and polished so i genuinely just had no clue what they were on about and told them bluntly so. like, please leave me alone!! i don’t want to feed into whatever it is you’re trying to prove. i actually like my peers and cheering on their success 😭

especially because this person was making the claim that the peer doesn’t deserve the success they got for their skills. i think that’s so reductive to art as a whole to just reduce artistic merit down to technical abilities. especially in comics, if anything it’s a FEAT to find shortcuts
