Living with pulmonary fibrosis. Love cats, books, video games, art, and science. She/her.
As someone with pulmonary fibrosis, I truly cannot overstate how much it sucks. I am so sorry you’re having to deal with this. I hope they’re able to stabilize and help her to whatever extent is possible. 💕

Yeah this bothers me so much every time I see/hear it (which is a LOT). I say “at the very beginning of the pandemic” or even just “in 2020” when referring to that time period

They’re probably the same people who get pissed and offended and indignant when people in other countries say ALL Americans deserve what we’re getting 🙄

We started Silo after getting caught up with Severance and quickly binged both seasons. After that, we started Foundation and are in s2 - I have no knowledge of the books and still enjoy it!

If we’re not propping up the feel-good “wow, you’re so inspirational” narrative, people no longer have any interest in listening to us.

Wow, what a terrible friend he is. You, and we all, deserve better. I’m sorry for your loss and I hope he one day realizes how disgusting that take is.

The people who say that also don’t seem to realize that everyone is potential seconds away from disability at all times. Healthy today does not guarantee healthy tomorrow.

Pulmonary fibrosis mostly affects people who are over 65, and it’s incurable and irreversible. The number one symptom people usually present with is persistent cough. But I was a young woman with no real risk factors, so I was laughed at when I worried about my cough. I’ll live with this til I die.

At 28, I went to the doctor because I’d had a cough for two solid years. My (female) PCP kinda laughed and said that even though she didn’t see anything seriously wrong, she could send me “all over town” if I really wanted. I said yes. Six months later, I was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.

As a fellow space-lover who’s pretty housebound, this is exactly the kind of content I came here to see 😌 I appreciate you sharing, more than I can say! 🩷✨

My husband and I never stopped because this is like, THE most basic thing and yet people still won’t do it. It’s so exhausting and demoralizing.
