🌋✈️Brand new article in the Journal of Applied Volcanology by Debrel et al investigates changes to aircraft flight paths during ash-rich #eruptions. Greater volumes of airspace affected by ash result in greater deviation of flight paths with longer travel time & fuel use⏬⏬⏬
