That’s the #Victober 2025 reading challenge complete!
Apart from Alice in Wonderland, I have not read any of the other works before. It was a lot of fun! I’ve read books that have been on my TBR for ages and discovered Margaret Oliphant.
The book I liked the most was Wives and Daughters!

That’s the #Victober 2025 reading challenge complete!

Finished reading Carmilla by Sheridan le Fanu, and therefore, completed the colour wheel challenge. I wanted to read it for Halloween so I saved it as the last book to read for Victober. I’m glad to have finally read one of the earliest vampire stories written.

Opened three sets of 10 packs of the new Pokémon TCGP set and this is the best card so far (I’ve had abysmal luck)

Completed two Victober challenges which included reading a book where friendship was featured. Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell did remind me of a Jane Austen novel at times. It’s a shame Gaskell passed away before she could finish the story. Overall, a very good book and great characters.

After IZ*One, I was reluctant to get into another temporary group but Doctor! Doctor! was such a good song, I went and listened to more ZB1 songs, watched lots of their funny content, and now I’ve bought an album

Lilith by George MacDonald was not what I was expecting. I would describe it as a Christian fairytale that reads like a fever dream.

I am falling behind quite a bit but I finally completed another challenge which was to read a Victorian work that discusses education. Loved rereading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. It’s so whimsical, silly and fun! #Victober

I didn't read much in June and July as I had a really bad eczema/dermatitis flare-up and couldn't really hold a book for almost a month. Read a bit more last month but decided to drop all reading challenges. Might still take part in the Victober reading challenge as that was really fun last year.
