The room was equipped with a wooden puzzle. The goal was to create specific shapes with a set of wooden blocks.

Turns out, I'm particularly bad at this :neocat_laugh_sweat:

Afterwards we were able to move into our Japanese-style room!
I thought the futon were pretty comfy and the view was amazing!

The view on the top was quite amazing!
Also, the hotel staff gave us this snow ducky mold and 2 sleds which we had tons of fun with.

It was quite a challenge to create the most perfect snow ducky!

On our 6th day we travelled to our next hotel.

It was located in a rural mountain area in Mie prefecture.

Because we arrived too early to check into our hotel room right away, we instead used the gondola to ride up the mountain.

On our fifth day we went the Cat + Model Train Café (https://www.railway-cats.com/).

It is connected to a shelter (that you get to visit as part of entry fee) so paying for this cat cafe is really worth it.

Of course, we took tons of pictures.

@anianimalsmoe In regards to the game, the thing that made it special was that it made saving/loading/branching part of the story as part of time-travel shennanigans :neocat_catmode:

But just the OST makes it worth playing!

For dinner we split off into 2 groups:
One group (including me) had Chinese Dandan noodles and the other had Kitsune Udon.

@anianimalsmoe I think I found the game a few years ago because a yt comment for the VA-11 Hall-A OST mentioned that it was heavily inspired by YU-NO's OST!

And YU-NO's ost was as amazing as expected. :polarbear_fire:

We ended up winning 1. place in a lottery there which entitled us to a huge toast filled with cream and honey.
Sadly we didn't have time to redeem it, so it will have to wait until next year

On our 4. day we visited the #ff14 Eorzea Cafe in Osaka!

My food was as mediocre as last year, but I do love the interesting drinks they serve there.

I had the blue alcoholic beverage which had jelly in it, I love interesting texture in my drinks!

The drink was especially good iirc, I think it tasted like lavender!

At the actually working train station a year number 1983 was engraved so deeply that P-chan fit snugly into the number 8.
I'm sure it must have felt cozy for him 🧺

These were 2 of the railway tunnels we walked through.

It was incredibly cold inside and at one point you couldn't see light from either end of the tunnel.
At first we tried walking though without a flashlight, but that quickly turned out not to be feasible

On our third day we did multiple interesting things!

We first walked along an abandoned railway line and took lots of photos.
Old railroad sleepers were embedded in the road we got to walk on.
P-chan starred in a lot of the photos we took, together with Shunta.
