the discrepancy between the script and the stamp where they actually translated the line accurately is what got me bc it's giving those old anime dubs with inconsistent translation choices trying really hard to convince you these lesbians are besties or sisters or w/e and doing a bad job at it

the thing about mizuki projectsekai is that like. having other characters use they/them for her in-universe doesn't even make sense within the context of the story. if everybody already knows that mizuki is trans and uses they/them, then what is Her Big Secret that she's so afraid of everyone finding out? like, no one is saying that trans girls can't use they/them, but mizuki is literally not OUT as trans to most of the cast 😭
