bc they are meant to highlight the bad qualities of a character. Not everything in character should be hyper self aware of good and bad and only talk in therapy-speak. That would make for an extremely flat and boring piece of media.

The conflating fiction with reality is what kills me. Ppl getting up in arms about the dark subjects depicted in FICTION pmo. Like the whole “Vox showing Val the AngelDust compilation and Val laughing it off” is the point! Scenes like that are supposed to make ppl uncomfortable (1/2)
