I have lots to say about craft books and other resources. All of my 'choices' are more aimed towards "I have a solid grasp on writing, but I feel like I can do better but I'm not sure what to do to improve".

I'm still on this path myself and I found them AMAZING
Story Engineering. Craft book by Larry Brooks. I will NEVER shut up about this book. My go to beat-planning method is STC, but it’s too vague around Fun&Games and BGCI. My Act 2 sucked cause I took FUN too literally. BUT THEN! Story Eng. Used together with STC saved me. It gives a whole new perspective on act 2 and the chapters on characters are also amazing. Brandon Sanderson. YouTube Lecture FREE. Maybe I’m a hater but i was SOOO skeptical. What are this dude’s credentials? What can he say that I haven’t read in a craft book? I was wrong. Incredible lectures. Super engaging, funny, uses examples that everyone knows. SFF writers NEED to watch. He is a very good teacher and there’s lots to take away. I only started watching last week so this is post reading a dozen craft books. The Fire in Fiction. Craft Book by Donald Maass. As the title states, the book is FIRE. Some craftbooks are amazing for when you start out, but then you kind of outgrow them and your writing is fine but you know you can do better, but there aren’t really any resources out there for that last oomph. Fire in Fiction is your oomph. Amazing exercises at end of chapters to elevate your story. More of a revising book than a drafting one.
